Big Tech Censors Those Sharing Truth About COVID Vaccines

Recently, ‘Big Tech’ censors turned their vicious attacks on free speech toward three parties – a doctor, a lawmaker, and an organization – who dared to dispute the approved narrative of corporate science and media.

What was their thought crime? Discussing adverse effects of experimental COVID-19 vaccines.

Vaccine Pioneer Silenced by Twitter and YouTube

Dr. Robert Malone, renowned as the “father” of the mRNA technology fundamental to some of the current COVID vaccines, was removed from Twitter just before his scheduled interview with popular podcaster Joe Rogan. 

In the video that has been widely viewed online, Malone – who himself is vaccinated – spent hours articulating his concerns with the vaccines’ adverse effects and oppressive government mandates. “These mandates of an experimental vaccine are explicitly illegal – they are explicitly inconsistent with the Nuremberg Code,” said Malone.

In the wake of the horrors committed by Nazi Germany during World War II, a code of medical research ethics was established during the Nuremberg war crimes tribunal in the case of United States v. Brandt. At issue in the current debate – since the rapidly developed COVID vaccines are considered experimental – is informed and voluntary consent. 

According to the Nuremberg Code, the subject of medical research should be allowed to give “voluntary consent” and not be compelled (or mandated) to receive treatment. The subject should also “have sufficient knowledge and comprehension of the elements of the subject matter involved as to enable him to make an understanding and enlightened decision.” 

The current climate of intellectual censorship has silenced researchers and prevented people from making informed decisions about their own health.

According to Malone – who is the medical director of the Unity Project, a group of hundreds of organizations who stand against mandated COVID shots for children – the issue directly affects parents who are under increasing pressure to vaccinate their kids, even though young people are among the least affected by the virus.

Malone reported that common side effects of the vaccine include disruption of the menstrual cycle in young women and heart damage (myocarditis) in young men.

“People should have freedom of choice, especially for their children,” said Malone, but “No discussions of the risks are allowed,” he added later.

For raising these concerns, the video of Malone’s interview was removed from YouTube, though it is still available – for now – on other platforms. 

Months before he was deplatformed, Malone warned “Physicians who speak out are being actively hunted via medical boards and the press. They are trying to delegitimize us and pick us off one by one.”

To preserve the evidence of Malone’s interview, U.S. Rep. Troy Nehls, R-Texas, entered a transcript into the Congressional Record.

Congresswoman’s Personal Twitter Account Suspended

For her part, U.S. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Georgia, had her personal Twitter account blocked after sharing a graphic showing data reported to the federal Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS). 

VAERS is co-sponsored by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and Federal Drug Administration (FDA). According to its own website, VAERS “is a national early warning system to detect possible safety problems in U.S.-licensed vaccines. . . . VAERS accepts and analyzes reports of adverse events (possible side effects) after a person has received a vaccination. Anyone can report an adverse event to VAERS. Healthcare professionals are required to report certain adverse events and vaccine manufacturers are required to report all adverse events that come to their attention.”

According to a report, Greene was “permanently suspended for ‘repeated violations’ of the social media platform’s policy on COVID-19 vaccine ‘misinformation.’” The outspoken congresswoman was also suspended from Facebook for 24 hours.

Greene’s Republican colleague, U.S. Rep. Chip Roy of Texas, also shared the same data on Twitter in her support. According to Roy, Greene’s “tweet showed potential risk from COVID vax. This is data she tweeted – from VAERS, supported by CDC/FDA.”

YouTube Removes Truth & Liberty Livecast Episode

YouTube recently removed a video of Richard Harris, Truth & Liberty Coalition executive director. An episode of the weekly Truth & Liberty livecast featuring Harris’s message from the 2021 Truth & Liberty Conference was published on Monday, Jan. 3, and removed the following morning for violating the platform’s “medical misinformation” policy.

While YouTube did not cite the offending material in its suspension notification, Harris mentioned VAERS once during a 30-second segment of the more than 40-minute message (the only time COVID vaccines were referenced):

Following is Truth & Liberty’s appeal of the video removal and one-week account suspension:

The claim of “medical misinformation” . . . is unfounded. Statements made were based on reports collected by the Centers for Disease Control. Your own guidelines state, “YouTube’s policies on COVID-19 are subject to change in response to changes to global or local health authorities’ guidance on the virus.” Providing information based on scientific data collected by a government agency, which are available to the public, should be considered valid and permissible. We request that you overturn your decision, restore the video, and remove the strike against Truth & Liberty Coalition’s account.

The appeal was rejected by YouTube soon after it was submitted.

According to Harris, “The more that we learn about the COVID vaccines, the more it seems we’ve been lied to. To find the truth, we have to allow open discussion of all points of view. Big Tech’s censorship does not help protect truth, it only fosters more suspicion and distrust.”

Taking a Stand and Sounding the Alarm

Mat Staver of Liberty Counsel recently added some perspective to the ongoing pandemic-related tyranny of lockdowns, mandates, and censorship by sharing a timeline of events that shows how conditions have become more restrictive over the past two years.

Long a voice for freedom, Staver has taken a strong stand against government overreach and raised the alarm about vaccines’ adverse effects. His recent appearances on the Truth & Liberty livecast have also been censored by YouTube (though they are still available at the Truth & Liberty website). 

“We’ve had more deaths in seven months, from these three shots—Pfizer, Moderna, and Johnson & Johnson—than in the entire 31 prior years of VAERS . . . from all vaccines combined,” said Staver on the August 23, 2021, livecast.

Biblical Basis for Freedom of Speech and Informed Consent

Freedom to speak what one believes to be true is a God-given right thoroughly supported by Scripture. In the greatest injustice ever committed, the Lord Jesus himself was executed because the political and religious leaders did not like what he said (Matt. 26:59-65). Likewise, the prophets and apostles were all persecuted and martyred because the authorities wanted to suppress their speech (see Acts 4:1-22; Acts 24). The Bible teaches that the truth sets us free (John 8: 32) and commands us to “speak the truth in love” (Eph. 4:15).   

Scripture tells us to speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves and to stand up for what is right:

Open your mouth for the people who cannot speak, For the rights of all the unfortunate. Open your mouth, judge righteously, And defend the rights of the poor and needy.

Prov. 31:8-9.

The Bible acknowledges that there are often two sides to a problem and wisdom dictates that we hear both points of view:

He that is first in his own cause seemeth just; but his neighbour cometh and searcheth him. 

Prov. 18:17

The censorship of vaccine information by YouTube and other tech giants also deprives people of the ability to make their own decisions about health care choices that can have debilitating, and even fatal, consequences. Again the Bible is instructive. According to Scripture, every person is vested with authority and ability to rule himself (Gen. 1:26-28), and is commissioned to “be fruitful and multiply,” and to do “all for the glory of God” (1 Cor. 10:31). Further, every person must give account for his choices (Matt. 25:14-30) and that accountability is individual. If we must give individual account, then we must also have the individual right to choose.

Every person has the inherent right to choose, and therefore to evaluate, for himself whether to have any medical treatment. While the risk presented by the vaccines may seem small to government bureaucrats, media, and Big Pharma, millions of Americans view them as unacceptably high. No one should force another person to inject their bodies with a substance that could harm them, even for the sake of an undefined and unproven idea that it will protect others. Those like YouTube that restrict freedom of speech about dangers of the vaccines deprive millions of people of the ability to evaluate those risks on their own, and thus make them less safe, not more.
