Hugh Phillips

Hugh Phillips is an attorney and litigation counsel for Liberty Counsel, an international nonprofit, litigation, education, and policy organization dedicated to advancing religious freedom, the sanctity of life, and the family since 1989. In this capacity, Hugh litigates pro-life and religious freedom cases across the country at a state and federal level. Hugh formerly worked as a government affairs clerk with Family Research Council in Washington, D.C. where he advanced conservative causes on the Hill and also served as a legal research assistant for American’s United for Life where he focused his research on undermining the precedential effect of Roe v. Wade. Hugh has further served as a summer law clerk for Chief Justice Tom Parker of the Alabama Supreme Court, a champion of conservative, constitutionalist jurisprudence. He is married to his wife Sarah Phillips and they have just welcomed their 6 week old son Iain into the world.
