Bill Yoh

A lifelong writer and award-winning author, Bill Yoh has published two books, as well as business and literary articles and original poetry. Our Way, his first book, received a Gold Award from the Nonfiction Writers Association. His second book, Unvarnished Faith, about a mission trip to Nicaragua and the life lessons it yielded, is now also available for purchase. He has produced an award-winning feature film about human relationships.

Bill serves as a speaker and strategist, helping faith communities, family businesses, and other organizations navigate the opportunities and challenges that inevitably arise when personal, professional, and volunteer lives intersect.

As a third-generation owner and executive of Day & Zimmermann, his family’s 45,000-employee, 120-year-old family business, Bill has a rare and personal view of the complex and human dynamics behind multi-generational family businesses. His business accomplishments include managing a $350 million P&L, launching multiple enterprise-wide transformation initiatives, and being the maintenance manager of a miniature golf course. He previously worked in the management consulting industry and advises multiple startup ventures.

Balancing his passions for business, community, and faith, Bill chairs Yoh, Day & Zimmermann’s multinational recruiting business. He is a past chair of the American Staffing Association, which supports the $150 billion US staffing industry. He serves on the board of Cape Regional Health System and is the prior chair of The Haverford School, one of the largest independent schools in the United States. He serves on the advisory boards of Duke Catholic Center, Selects Greater Philadelphia, Military Veteran Partners, Quake Media, and Unbounded Media. Past board experience includes Council for Relationships, Defense Support Services, and Platoon Fitness. He has launched and facilitated two faith-based small groups.

Bill holds a BA from Duke, an MBA from Wharton, and a Master’s in ministry and theology from Villanova. He teaches a family business class at Wharton. He enjoys writing poetry, playing guitar, cooking, and fishing. He and his family and their many pets live in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
