Sandy Rios is a seasoned radio host and former long-time FOX News Contributor who has travelled the world and served in various leadership roles in DC. For her drive time radio show on Salem Radio in Chicago, Sandy received the Angel Award and seven Silver Microphone awards from TESLA. Her minute commentary was heard weekly for Salem Radio Network and Moody Broadcasting, and in addition Sandy was a frequent guest on National Public Radio. Before her exclusive role as a FOX News Contributor, Sandy co-hosted Crossfire on CNN, appeared on ABC, NBC, CBS, MSNBC and PBS. Sandy was an opinion writer for Townhall, The Hill, Breitbart, and RealClear Politics. She was featured in Newsweek, Time Magazine, Christianity Today, and has been quoted in the NY Times, the Washington Post, the Chicago Tribune and other major outlets. As former President of Concerned Women for America, the nation’s largest public policy women’s organization with 500,000 members and 50 state chapters, Sandy oversaw the Culture and Family Institute, the CWA Magazine, the D.C. staff and hosted CWA’s daily syndicated radio show on Salem Radio. The first Chairman of the North Korea Freedom Coalition, Sandy did investigative work in China, Vietnam, North Korea, Thailand, Cambodia, the Soviet Union, and India. She lived in Cold War Berlin, Germany for two years. Sandy’s husband, Bruce, is a retired Supervisory Special Agent with the FBI. Her son, Jeremy received his PhD in St. Andrews, Scotland, and is currently senior pastor at Northshore Alliance Church in North Vancouver, British Columbia. He and his wife, Liesel, have given Sandy four beautiful grandchildren: Moses, Cates, Asa and Lucy. Sandy’s daughter Sasha, severely disabled since birth, passed away in 2009. Sandy’s first solo music album was entitled, “Sasha’s Song.” Sandy was a professional musician and singer before embarking on her career in radio and television. She sang the national anthem for the Chicago Bears during three of their fun Super Bowl years. Her duet with Michael English, “I’m Going Home” was #4 on the CCM Charts.
