Pastor Jim Tarr has served in the ministry for over 30 years. His first years of ministry were in Florida. He and his wife Pam have been serving Cornerstone Christian Center of Basalt, CO since 2008. He is the founder and president of Cornerstone Christian School. Jim has a passion for carefully unpacking understanding and imparting the truths of Scripture. His desire is to see those who don’t know Christ in the Roaring Fork Valley to come to Him, and to see the that Body of Christ would experience the outpouring and fullness of God’s Spirit. Jim graduated from Clearwater Christian College in Clearwater, Florida in 1981. Upon graduating, he volunteered in Israel on Kibbutz Ashdot Ya’acov Ichud. While in Israel, he furthered his studies while working on the kibbutz. Jim returned again to Israel in 1986 when the kibbutz invited him back to work and study in a Hebrew Ulpan. He has a love for Israel and for the Jewish people. Jim and Pam have three children and one grandson.
