Brown’s first book, Role of a Lifetime: Reflections on Faith, Family and Significant Living, was published in September 2009. In his memoir Brown relayed how he found the role he was meant to play, highlighting both the good and bad decisions he made along the way, teaching readers how to discover life’s purpose for themselves.

In 1974, James asked the Lord into his heart after realizing that success by the world’s standards was a pretty empty feeling. That began a 10 to 12-year search before landing in a good Word-based church, Rhema Christian Center Church, where he has been since 1986. James has been a Minister since 2002 and on April 19, 2009, he became an Ordained Minister. His wife, Evangelist Dorothy Brown is on the ministerial staff at Rhema as well. She teaches the Tabernacle of Moses at Rhema’s Givens Bible College. He has been blessed to minister at numerous churches and Men’s Conferences around the country. James has also been blessed to appear on several Christian network television shows, such as Praise the Lord (PTL), Hour of Power and the 700 Club. He also has an Honorary Degree from Carver Bible College.

In September 2009, James’ first co-authored book entitled, Role of a Lifetime: Reflections on Faith, Family and Significant Living, was released. In his memoir, James relays how he found the role he was meant to play, highlighting both the good and bad decisions along the way, teaching readers how to discover life’s purpose for themselves.

James and his wife Dorothy live in the Washington DC metropolitan area and JB’s daughter Katrina and her husband John blessed them with three beautiful granddaughters, Kaela, Jordyn, Aniya and a grandson, John.
