In 1982, the Supreme Court provided guidance on how school boards and administrators can address pervasive vulgarity in their schools. It is important to note that a Supreme Court ruling supersedes any state law or local district policy. However, many school districts across the nation are currently in violation of this ruling. From Clarksville, TN, to Reno, NV, school districts are either violating their own policies or have no policies in place at all.
As a result, it is imperative that all school districts review their policies and ensure they are following the Supreme Court ruling. This will not only create a safer and more respectful environment for students, but also ensure that the district is not liable for any legal repercussions. We urge all school administrators and boards to take this matter seriously and take appropriate action to address pervasive vulgarity in their schools. This is a clear violation of the Supreme Court ruling.

With the passing of the “Texas Chaplain Act” (SB763), chaplaincy programs are now available to your school district. Chaplaincy is a well-established profession that offers specialized care to accommodate the needs of each individual and people group.
School campuses consist of a unique combination of adults and underaged individuals. TO adequately meet the holistic care criteria, chaplaincy programs must be specialized, which is why we have created the “Campus Chaplains Care Program.”
As your school chaplaincy advocate, we are here to help you navigate the chaplaincy landscape and find the program that best represents the need of your ISD
For over 25 years, our organization has helped schools through school chaplaincy, and we hope to help yours, too
