Just under two years ago, an ordinary citizen – wife, mom, and small business owner – decided to stand for truth during a town hall meeting with an anti-Second Amendment presidential candidate.

When Lauren Boebert heard Beto O’Rourke scheduled a campaign stop in Colorado, she drove three hours to be there. The video of that encounter went viral and launched her into the national spotlight. These days, U.S. Rep. Boebert is quickly becoming one of the most powerful and influential voices in Congress.

Rep. Boebert joined the Truth & Liberty livecast earlier this year to discuss how to get involved in government. The first-term congresswoman from Colorado’s Third District will also appear this weekend, at the Truth & Liberty Coalition Conference.

Getting Involved

For Boebert, the desire to have an impact is what led her from speaking on local issues in Rifle, Colorado, to national issues in Washington, DC.

“I started showing up to meetings and letting my voice be heard,” said Boebert. “I didn’t always know all the details to speak to, but I knew what I wanted to see and the direction – what I wanted to speak against and for.”

Boebert was not always interested in politics, but after working her way from welfare recipient to small-business owner, she began to be concerned about the values that mattered most to her. She decided to get involved at every opportunity in her own community.

“That is the most important thing to do,” said Boebert of getting involved locally. “And the first thing I would say is show up – that’s exactly what I did.”

In 2020, she ran a grassroots campaign against a five-term incumbent and was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives as a Christian conservative.

A Powerful Voice in Congress

Since being elected, Boebert has become a firebrand for the Republican Party. She has taken aim at the radical leftist agenda in the House of Representatives and has used her floor speeches to hold the Biden Administration accountable.

Strongly conservative, Boebert has taken a bold stand for life and the rights of the unborn.

She also stands for biblical truth, and values the Christian heritage of our nation.

In September, Boebert joined her Republican colleague U.S. Rep. Doug Lamborn, of Colorado’s Fifth District, at the Truth & Liberty Coalition Conference at Charis Bible College in Woodland Park, CO. They offered updates on their important work in Congress and shared how you can have an impact on what is being debated in Washington, DC.
