As America begins to reopen, a number of state and local officials are looking for ways to continue to maintain control over their citizens. Their plans include mandating injections and tracking people via vaccine passports. These mandates would be intrusive and dramatically restrict Americans’ freedom to live, work, shop, and worship.

Government officials, at the federal and state levels, and tech corporations are working together to develop digital passports that would track who has received a vaccines for the COVID-19 coronavirus. The technology would come in the form of a smartphone application that allows vaccine recipients to show proof before entering a business, traveling by air, or any number of other routine transactions.

State and Local Government Overreach

Our friends at Liberty Counsel are raising the alarm about these oppressive measures:

• In Oregon, “Governor Kate Brown has now implemented a statewide policy to require proof of COVID shots for people to enter businesses, workplaces, and churches without wearing masks,” according to Liberty Counsel.
• In New York, the state government “rolled out its ‘Excelsior Pass’ system that would mandate people show that they have been vaccinated when trying to enter certain events and locations.”
• In Orange County, California, officials proposed “a ‘Digital Passport’ that ‘enables individuals to participate safely and with peace of mind in activities that involve interactions with other people, including travel, attractions, conferences/meetings, concerts, sports, school and more.’”
• In Washington, “Gov. Jay Inslee just released his new dictates for churches,” limiting them to 25% capacity. “But if the church segregates the worshippers based on whether they had the COVID shots, then he will permit up to 50% capacity. If everyone has proof of COVID shots, then the capacity is based on the size of the sanctuary.”

Don’t Accept Mandates as the New Normal

Obviously, creating a vaccine passport system raises serious questions about privacy and constitutional liberties. The issue strikes at the core of how we choose to live as Americans under the Constitution.

According to Liberty Counsel Founder and Chairman Mat Staver: 

“Digital health or vaccine passports along with tracking and tracing apps present a serious threat to freedom. Vaccine passports and tracking apps are about collecting data and control. COVID is being used to advance this dangerous threat to freedom. We must never accept vaccine passports or tracking apps as the new normal. If we do, it will be the end of freedom.”

Liberty Counsel is inviting concerned Americans to sign a petition that will be delivered to governors, Congress, and the White House. Make your voice heard and tell your elected officials to say ‘NO!’ to mandated COVID vaccines and tracking technology.
